LBR20 + RBS50v2 - Ethernet backhaul problems

Greetings from Finland,

I have an Orbi LTE modem working just fine.

Added one satellite last week. Wireless everything was okay.

But wired backhaul, what a headache. After several attempts I almost gave up going for Ethernet backhaul.
My modem/LBR20 is behind 16-port switch. And I couldn't make the wired backhaul working at all.
Problems solved by connecting satellite directly to LBR20.
Latest firmwares etc.
Something to do with switches (EEE energy saving protocol)?

    It would help (me) understand to have a rough diagram of this setup, showing how these components are connected.  It makes a huge difference how the satellite is connected to the Orbi.

    i.e.

    LBR20 LTE modem LAN1 port -> 16 port switch-> RBS50 satellite did not work, but

    LBR20 LTE modem LAN1 port -> 16 port switch

                    LAN2 port -> RBS50 satellite does work

    Correct?

        There is a constant stream of posts regarding "which switches work" between Orbi router and satellite(s).  It is frustrating (to me) that Netgear appears to be silent on the subject. They have no list of "switches that have been proved to work" and "switches known not to work."  In addition to green features, there are opinions that any sort of "management", such as IGMP snooping, interferes.

        Now that it is working, I (personally) would move on to another activity.
