netgear nighthawk x4s r7800 wireless router

Hi,

 

I currently have netgear nighthawk x4s r7800 wireless router, my question is: what will be the compatible wifi mesh device that will work with it ?  Will Orbi Wifi mesh devices work with R7800 ?

    Nighthawk and Orbi are two entirely separate product Netgear product lines.

    I believe there are "Nighthawk Extender" devices that are now part of the Nighthawk line, but have no experience with them.

    Yes. I have an Orbi router and three satellites sitting behind an R7800.

     

    But, and this is important, the Orbi is in AP mode. That avoids the curse of the "double NAT".

     

    I could ditch the R7800, but the Orbi does not support ReadyShare.

     

    Interestingly, even in AP mode the Orbi supports some of the features that will not work in standard routers.
