Hi andersen24,
Let me see if I have this connection map straight:
Arris Cable Modem

Orbi Router

Initial Unmanaged Switch
|
|=>-----Granny Unit-----Orbi Satellite 1-----switch (unmanaged?, shouldn't matter as it is after satellite)
|=>-----Shop-----Orbi Satellite 2
|=>-----12-port Cat5e patch panesl-----Netgear switch (managed or unmanaged?)-----Orbi Satellite 3
The only issue I see with connecting Orbi Satellite 3 will be whether the "Netgear switch" is managed or not. For technical reasons I do not fully understand, managed switches are not supported for setting up a wired backhaul, at least with the Orbi system. If that "Netgear switch" is unmanaged, then I don't think you will have a problem. I have multiple unmanaged swtiches in my setup and I have no issues with establishing a wired backhaul with my Orbis.
So it comes down to that last switch. If it is unmanaged, you should be good. Good luck!
