Netscape login problem
I had to reset the Orbi router to factory. It connected to the internet. I had a previous Netgear account. I reset the password 3 times with 3 different passwords, it won't let me log in. I even cut and pasted the password from a word doc to the reset and login fields. No go. Why doesn't it recognize the password?

Please describe how the Orbi is being set up. Using the Orbi web interface with a web browser, or using the Orbi "app"?
There are at least three separate "passwords" used with Orbi WiFi systems:
- The WiFi name (SSID) & password, which after a Factory Reset are reset to what is printed on the product label,
and may be changed by the user. (I always set a new router to the exact SSID/password as the WiFi router it is replacing so that all of my devices do not have to reconfigured, and so I can "go back" if I don't like the new router.) - The Orbi web interface administrative login, which Factory Reset sets to "admin" and "password".
During a setup using a web browser, the user is encouraged to change "password" to something more complicated to guess.
This is the login used for web administration, for Remote Access (if that feature is activated in the web administration), and for telnet access to the router. - The Orbi "app" login, which uses a Netgear login, which is usually an email address and a password. This may be the same Netgear account used to access the community forum, but could be a different Netgear login. This has no connection with the web administration password, and Remote Access in terms of the "app" is entirely separate from Remote Access to the web administration.
Please comment on which method you are using and where it breaks down.

Wire connect a PC to the router and factory reset the router using the back push pin button. Hold it in until the top led turns on AMBER then let go. Power OFF the ISP modem for 30 seconds than back on. Wait for the WHITE led to slowly pulsate on top of the RBR, then log in to orbilogin.com using a web browser and walk thru the setup wizard. This time write down all important information for safe keeping later on.
