New firmware bricked my RBK50
Yesterday I tried to update my Orbi from 2.7.5.6 to 2.7.6.6. I used the manual method like I did many times before without any problems. The update progress bar stopped at approx 75% and nothing hap...
First of all thank you all for your support - much appreciated. As a last resort I tried CrimpOn's choice 1 (tftp), but as I cannot get my led flash orange, I had little hope that it will work. I cannot get an IP address from the bricked device, so no success. Eventually I gave up and went for choice 2 and bought a new Wifi 6 mesh system. I was lucky that I could find a really good deal for a new Orbi SXK50 Pro set. Not top notch, but still better than what I had so far.
You wont get an IP address from a bricked router or bad state router. Why you have to set a static IP address on the PC to effect a connection in a router in a non normal operation state.
