Nighthawk WiFi wont pass HD homerun TV IP
I have been using a Linksys XAC 1900 Wifi, Router / Modem without issue for some years to among other things distribute IP TV from a HD Homerun Connect (model - HDHR4-2DT).
I have previously used the Linksys WiFi to drive google TV devices connected to other TV's remote on my property.
After disabling the Linksys WiFi ( range limited and 2.4Ghz radio stopped working) I installed the Nighthawk WiFi 6 router which is successfully providing WiFi internet access for my streaming apps and other smart home devices.
Unfortunately however the HD Homerun no longer operates .
When attempting to access the HD Homerun connect device from various computer or WiFi connected devices I now get a varied response.
Where the computer is connected directly via lan to the Linksys Modem / router, HD Homerun works fine.
However via the Nighthawk WiFi, the HD Homerun app on computer, andoid and Google TV devices are unable to find the HD Homerun connect device/IP stream to operate.
It appears as though via the nighthawk all devices on the existing Linksys modem router are on a different network and so devices on the nighthawk attempting to access the Linksys devices cant see them.
I am assuming that somewhere in the steup of each of these devices I may be able to resolve this by adjusting configuration settings.
Is any one able to provide some guidance on this ,
regards pete

By keeping the Linksys router, you have created two entirely separate networks:
- Everything connected to the Linksys is on one network (including the WAN port of the Nighthawk)
- Everything connected to the Nighthawk is on an entirely different network, which is hidden behind Network Address Translation (NAT).
If the Linksys router must be kept, then the NIghthawk could be put into access point (AP) mode, which will result in one network administered by the Linksys. All devices should be able to connect to every other device.
