occassional bad wifi
Is there any way to know why sometimes my wifi is not so good?
happens maybe 1% of the time
is there a log I can access?

There are plenty out there.
I'd start with a mobile phone. There is even a Netgear app (for Android at least). WiFi analytics.
Crude but a start.

Not in Orbi systems. And most logs have limited information gathering.
Perhaps you should investigate the possibility of local wifi interference. Are there any neighbours on the same wifi channels?

I had not thought of that.
We live on 1 acre zoning - so houses are at least 100 feet awat
Based on advice from support, I just changed the 2.4GHZ channel from auto to 11
I don't even know if it uses 5GHZ or 2.4GHZ - do you know how I could tell which frequency was involved?
This problem only happens once in a great while.

how would I know if someone else is interfering
Can the orbi detect and change to a different frequency if that happens
Do you know of other products to detect this?
