Orbi - slow speed with XBOX One on ethernet
I have now had my Orbi RBR20 router with 2 satellite system for a few months and keep having issues. The latest one is the XBox One connection speed. It is currently wired with Cat5e through 2 switches and then to the Orbi router. If I use my laptop to verify the connection speed with the cable that connects the Xbox One, I get close to 500/500mbps which is my Bell Fibe service speeds. If I test the speed using the Xbox One, I get download speeds varying from 30 to 50mbps and upload speeds varying from 1.5 to 10 mbps. Are there any settings in the router that could improve this?
Setup is:
Fibre to ethernet converter to RBR20 router
RBR20 ethernet(basement) -> switch1 -> RBR20 Sat(1st level), RBR20 Sat(2nd level), switch2 (2 computers), switch3( Xbox One, Apple TV, Stereo Receiver, TV).

IF your laptop is getting to spec speeds on same switch line, then we can presume your xbox may be the issue. Game consoles have been problematic over the years when it comes to reliable speed test result. We don't know what test servers there using and if or how busy these severs are. I would always test with a wired PC and Ooklas installable speed test app behind the RBR and on the switch line. If your getting to specs speed thru the RBR and switches, then not much can be done on the Orbi system to make the xbox work better.
Test the xbox directly connected to the RBR.
What is the mfr and model of these switches?

I tried early this morning (can't unhook the internet when everyone is awake...) and I obtained 200mbps download, and 30 mbps upload both when going through two switches as well as going straight to the router. So, the switches are not the issue. Next, I need to try my Bell Fibe router and compare with the Orbi router. This will be done next week (long weekend).
Also had an issue yesterday where my soan came over and said he did not have any internet. I verified, we both had full bars (Wi-Fi) on our phones, but no internet acccess. My wife was on another satellite on Wi-Fi and had internet access... Not a very reliable mesh sytem...
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too? if there is a built in router here, This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
