Orbi and Synology Web Interface

Hello,

Just installed my Orbi and it works great!

One problem I do have now is that I can no longer use the Java-based web management of my two synology servers. The servers mount just fine on my Mac desktop and I can access the files, but I cannot use safari to graphically control my servers anymore. I also cannot log into them via the internet/home wifi using my phone?

Please advise.

Also what switches will work best with Orbi?

    It seems like every time Apple pushes out a Safari web browser update it disables Java.  You might chack that too.

      Same problem.  I have to change orbi to AP mode with my existing router. Problem is once I change orbi to AP mode, I can't login to the orbi web login or use IOS app.  Netgear need to fix this.

        I just did a firmware upgrade and now I can access Orbi via my iOS.

    Just guessign here but most likely the IP address of your Synology has changed due to putting the new router in place and the bookmarks you might have in Safari and IP address recorded in your phone are not correct anymore.

     

    Try to log into the Orbi system and check under Basic -> Attached devices to see if you see your Synology there. If yes, note down the IP address. Now check your Safari bookmark and your phone apps and see if the IP address in therei is the same you recorded.
