Orbi App Indicates Wrong Status
I just renewed my Netgear Armor for my RBR50. Ever since it was activated when I look at my Orbi App on my phone it indicates that my satellites are offline. So I moved one of them close to the router which shows to be connected on the app and had it rejoin the routher so that the light on the satellite turned solid blue. I then moved it back to its original location powered it on and in a few minutes it had rejoined the network and showed a solid blue ring on top of the device. I did this for a second satellite and the same solid blue ring appears. However, when I open my App the satellites still show the magenta color and the details indicate it is offline. When you look at the devices connected to the satellites they all appear to be linked as each displays the symbol for wifi and the bars are green. I also removed the app from my iPhone and then reinstalled it but that did nothing. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts and suggestions as how to fix this. It is also disappointing that Netgear has not provided a way to leave the ring light on all the time so you can tell visually at a glance if the satellite and routher are functioning properly. I believe that their new WiFi 6 products are like the Orbi system in that the light goes off which they say indicates the unit is functioning properly. We are visual creatures so having an indicator light would be preferred by many I suspect. Thanks in advance for your help.

This appears to be something that could be posted in the Netgear "Idea Exchange":

My impression is that most users would find a "bright light" to be irritating at night and prefer that there NOT be a light all the time.
Perhaps it would be more diplomatic to request that Netgear include an "option" as regards the light. i.e. the user could choose (a) indicate connection and go out, vs. (b) indicate connection and stay on.
My observation is that the Idea Exchange does not appear to generate much "action" on the part of Netgear. (But, it's all we have.)

I find that many devices produce lights to indicate their status. For example, my DirecTV has a blue glow when it is on. My Roku also lights as does my Apple TV. I was suggesting that the option to have a light status would be welcomed addition to the feature set. Prehaps it could also be brightness selected. But as you point out it is unlikely to make any difference in the grand scheme of Netgear

Please post about this in the Orbi app forum:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi-App/bd-p/en-home-orbi-appThere is a known current problem with the Orbi app.
Good Luck.
