Orbi CBR40 - Spectrum 400Mbps but only getting 170Mbps max

Just upgraded from 100Mbps to 400 Mbps on Spectrum, but even after Spectrum troubleshooting it still shows only 170Mbps on the Orbi speed test. Spectrum says they show they are pushing 400+Mbps to my site. What's wrong?

    Did you do a full power OFF on the CBR for 1 minute or more then back ON? 

    Test speeds with a wired PC and Ooklas installable speed test app on the PC.

      Yup, pwered off for a minute and then tested using the Orbi App speed test. My laptop does not have a hardwired connection port unfortunately, but checked online using Spectrum spped test (ookla) on their website as well. Still less than 200 Mbps.

        You might try a factory reset on the CBR and setup from scratch. Don't enable Armor, Circle or Traffic Meter. Just test as soon as the CBR is updated.

         

        We've seen problems in recent history with Orbi app and on board speed test app not reporting correct speed results while a wired PC using a external app does report correctly.
