Orbi connected to wifi but not connected to internet
Hello,
I have a Orbi RBK22-100NAS. It has a router and one satelite. The Orbi Router has the settings of Version RBR20, Firmware Version V2.3.5.26, Type = DHCP.
I have a AT&T Modem/Router, ARRIS NVG599, for my internet connection at home
I connected the Orbi Router to the back of the AT&T Modem/Router's ethernet port. The Orbi Satelite has been connected to the Orbi Router. It connects to the new Orbi wifi, but it is not connected to the internet.
I have seen other posts that say I need to bridge the router or stop the wifi from the modem. I turned off the Home SSID wifi at the AT&T webpage; http://192.168.1.254/.
It didn't do anything.
Could someone tell me what I need to do to get it connected to the internet?
thank you!
This is done on the Orbi web interface (not the "app). On the Advanced Tab, Advanced Settings, Router/AP Mode. The router will then reboot. Every device will get IP addresses from the ATT router.

The att device is a combo modem/router device. Which is what's causing your issues more than likely.
Shutting off the wifi doesn't place the Arris in passthrough mode. It still leaves the routing functions enabled.
ATT is also horrible at allowing their devices to function properly in passthrough/modem only mode. many with att find the easiest and best functioning route is to place the orbi in AP (access point) mode. Its sad as this disables some functions of the router.
