Orbi disconnects from internet (RBR50)
Hi there...my Orbi has started disconnecting from the internet randomly. Sometimes just once a day, sometimes multiple times. I'm on Firmware version 2.5.2.4. It was working flawlessly for years, and now it disconnects. I started a free trial of Netgear Armor and feel like that's when the problems started. I've rebooted the router, and it still happens.
If anyone has any advice, please let me know. Thanks!

You can do a Factory Reset and during the setup decline the Armor free trial offer.

Hi CrimpOn! Thanks for your quick response! Has this proven to be a problem in the past? Just wondering, because I like the idea of having armor...but if it's going to cause problems, it's obviously not worth it.
Thanks again!
I am not a good one to ask about Armor because I have never activated it. (Once I saw "Free TRIAL" <i.e. and then it "costs") I lost interest.
Also, nearly all the questions about Armor in this primary Orbi forum are about how to get rid of it.
Probably get a more balanced viewpoint by asking in the community forum dedicated to Armor:

what modem/gateway is it connected to?
Are all devices dropping? Just wireless devices? Just trying to see if wired devices drop as well because that can potentially indicate a modem issue.
Does the dropped devices happen when connected to the router or to a satellite?
You might try updating the firmware. I'd recommend updating the satellites first.

there are 2 version of the RBr/s-50 so make sure you have the correct one.

Hi plemans! The Orbi router actually disconnects from the satellites when this happens. I have a PS4 attached by LAN cable to one of the satellites, and that lost internet as well, of course. But it's also happened when on my iMAC, which is wired into the Orbi router itself.
My modem is from my local provider (Rogers), but is in bridge mode.
