Orbi Feature Request: Indicate ethernet backhaul link type (100mbit or 1000mbit) in Orbi WebUI
I had a problem where I found when my RBK50's satellite was connected with the ethernet backhaul, I was getting far slower throughput than I would get when using the wireless backhaul. Ultimately the problem was that the ethernet connection (all CAT6) had a problem that forced the link to run at 100Mbit speeds, not 1000MBit. If the Orbi WebUI could indicate the ethernet link type, then I could have realized the solution far faster. For a time, I thought this was actually a firmware bug and I started looking at non-Netgear replacement options.
The problem was discussed here, I'm not the only person who's had some confusion over this:

I hope the firmware could be updated to indicate the ethernet link type in the Orbi WebUI. Here's a mock-up of what that could look like:

This is a very practical suggestion that should not be all that difficult to implement.
How about posting it in the Netgear Idea Exchange:

Thanks CrimpOn, great suggestion. I had looked for a place to submit feature requests and didn't find that. I've now added my request here:
