Yes, If you have the Asus all set up as your main router, just turn OFF it's wifi radios and configure the Orbi system for AP mode:
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
You can use the Asus routers DMZ for the Orbi then configure the Orbi for router mode, this will be two routers on the same line and problems could happen. If the system works for you in AP Mode, use that mode for your needs.

Should I just start fresh with only the Orbi...or can I use both and retain all my settings with the ASUS as DHCP....and of so...what steps do use, in order to use them both ?
Thanks in advance.

So the DMZ needs to be set on the ASUS router, when setting the Orbi as an AP....or just to
use both the Orbi and ASUS as routers.
