Orbi RB50R firmware file incorrect

Question

I am trying to upload my orbi firmware manually since it does not let me update automatically on my orbi settings.
Whenever I upload the RBR50 file image, it says "This firmware file is incorrect! Please get the firmware file again and make sure it is the correct firmware for this product."

After downloading the *.zip file for the router from the Orbi downloads page, did you 'extract' the *.img file from the *.zip file?
Netgear uses different file types for different products.&nbsp; For the RBR50 router, the correct fiile will have a file extension of "img".

This appears to be correct.&nbsp; All I can suggest is downloading and unzipping another copy.

You need to install the 2.2.1.212 version first. It expands the firmware provision. The newer versions needed larger provisions.&nbsp;
