Orbi RBK12 5GHz Security Issue -> No Password
I Just bought this RBK12 Set NEW.
After Setting up the Router and the Satellite everything worked fine until i noticed the 5GHz Wifi is marked as "Open"/Not Protected on my PC.
Ive been searching for quite some Time now how to Setup an Password for the 5GHz Wifi (2,4GHz is Secured with my Set Password).
But i cant find any Option in the Web UI to Setup the 5GHz Password.
Both Devices Router and Sattellite wont ask for the 5GHz Password. And i dont want any Stranger to connect to my Network.
I Hope someone is able to help me or i have to send this Set back to the Shop, since im not Feelin good with an Open Door to my House aswell 😉
Thank You
PS: sorry if another Thread was opened sometime for this Issue x)

The RBK12 is a mesh system. and it doesn't have the ability to separate out the 2.4ghz ssid from the 5ghz ssid.
You literally set one name and one password for it. If the 2.4ghz has a password, the 5ghz will to.
It shouldn't show up separate on your network either unless you're using a 3rd party scanner like inssider.
So whats actually telling you it doesn't have a password.

the 5GHz Network shows up with the SSID i Setup just with an 2 Behind it and its defenitely not Secured since i could Connect to it from an Device which was not Connected to the 2,4GHz nor the 5GHz before...
On Every Device where the 5GHz shows up there is no "lock" Sign while on the Others there is an "lock" Symbol...Which says for me its not Secured at all..
I was Able to Connect to the 5GHz Network without Password while the 2,4GHz got an Password "pop up"/ ...
Just the Generic Android Settings such as my Windows WLAN Settings no special Scanner or Software was used...
i dont know if i can trust this Device...

What firmware are you on? (for router and satellites)
What modem/gateway are you connecting it to?
If you log into the router through the browser, what does the wireless settings page show?
