Orbi RBK12 mobile phone issue

Hi.  I set up the Orbi Wifi extender a week ago.  I have great wifi coverage throughout the house on our laptops now where as previously had none in the far side of the house.  The problem I have is our mobile phones keep disconnecting from wifi now.  My phone is a samsung galaxy 6, sometimes it is okay and other times I have to reconnect it.  When this happens I have to re-sign into the network and get the message '404 not found' , I tap use this network as is and it connects.  Sometimes it stays on and other times it disconnects again, maybe 3 or 4 times a day.  The other phone is a Samsung glalaxy 3 (ancient I know).  That phone hardly ever connects and when it does it stays connected for a few minutes and then disconnects again.  I would appreciate any help, I am not technically minded so please keep it basic.

Another issue I have is I often now get '404 not found' (occassionally I may get 401 or something else) when I look for a website that previously I had no problem with.  Not dodgy sites either that I look at.

Lastly, I am having a problem setting up Chromecast Ultra, partly I think because of the phone disconnection problem but also I think I may need to change from 5GHz to 2.4 to do it and then revert back.  Can someone tell me how to do this please.

Otherwise I will be sending the Orbi back, takes me hours to sort various issues so I just need basic easy to follow instructions.

Really appreciate any help though,

Cheers,

Faye

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings

Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s). Be sure that CTS and RTS values are changed to 2347 under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings

Thanks a lot FURRYe38 and sorry for the delay in replying.  I'm a shift worker so waited until I had some time off to go through your solutions.  I knew the satelite was placed okay so I turned off Armour, set the router to 2.4Hz and then rebooted and fingers crossed it seems to be working fine.  Early days but feeling hopeful.  Also managed to get Chromecast working on 2.4Hz.  Will leave on 2.4 and not bother changing back to 5Hz as the speed seems fine and no glitches.  Really appreciate your help.  Cheers, Faye
