Orbi rbk40 behind a switch? Ooma not working
I have a new RBK 40 system and it is working very well. However my Ooma (VOIP) system has quit working. As my previous wi-fi router, I plugged the Ooma directly into the Wi-FI router with no issues...

First off all I want to thank all that have contributed to this thread! I am not a novice, but know enough to get into trouble! I did think about looking at the port config on the orbi interface but didn't see where to add it. Here's what Ooma recommends:
Ooma uses the following application ports for outbound data and voice traffic:
UDP 53, UDP 123, UDP 514, UDP 1194,UDP 3386, UDP 3480, UDP 10000-30000, TCP 110, TCP 53 and TCP 443.
I hope to resolve this and if/when I do I hope to contribute to future Ooma device owners on configuring the device behind an Orbi.

Right. You wont get 300 Mbps through a 10/100 port.
You can probably make Ooma work behind Orbi in router mode, but you will probably lose any QoS features the Ooma has to prioritize VOIP calls. It still might work OK.
One approach would be to designate Ooma as a DMZ server in the Orbi GUI. Another approach would be to determine all the ports Ooma needs and manually forward these in Orbi.

Orbi should require no configuration for outgoing ports.
I took a look at the Ooma manual. It shows Ooma can be installed either behind your router, or between your modem and router.
You could try putting Ooma between your modem and the Orbi in router mode. See Alternative Setup Option A in the Quick Start Guide:

If that doesn't work you should contact Ooma or go to the Ooma forum, where there are folks familiar with the system:
