Orbi (RBK50) with a replaced xfinity gateway
i have an Orbi that is up and running in AP mode with an Xfinity gateway. I want to now change the set up and put the gateway in bridge mode and then use my Orbi in Router mode. -Should I make the change on the gateway to bridge mode and then change the Orbi to router mode? -Should I make the change on the Orbi to router mode first and then make the change on the gateway to bridge mode. -Or is there another suggest path.

If you have access to the ISP Modems web page, make the change there first, then connect a wired PC to the RBR and configure the RBR for router mode, apply all settings. A power cycle of the ISP modem and RBR maybe needed as well after the re-config.

Thanks for confirming. i assume leave all connections as is, or should is disconnect the Orbi from the gateway when performing the change to bridge mode?
You can leave them all connected. Be sure you are using the WAN port on the RBR to connect to the ISP modem.
