Orbi rbk50v2 adding to my mesh

I have one satellite about 30 yards from the base. I would like to get to my detached garage about 40 yards from the satellite in the opposite direction of the base. The product into say you can only daisy chan 2 routers. So is getting to my garage a pipe dream? TIA

  • Its possible but that much distance might be an issue. Plus external walls on homes and garages tend to be issues. Reason why is they tend to have materials that block wifi like tin siding, adobe, cement board, foil lined insulation, etc.

You could always test it by  moving your one satellite to that side of the home and seeing what reception you get at the garage. If you don't get any, its going to be to much distance/materials blocking. Then you'd want to look at a point to point system or buring a underground ethernet wire.
