Orbi RBR50 - changing to a new Cable Modem/Router device
Hi - I am in the UK and am a Virgin Media customer with 150MB speed - they gave me their Smart Hub 3.0 which is now at least 4 years old and for this time I have been using an ORbi RBR50 connected to this with one satelite which has provided for the most part good and relaibel coverage. Recently I've seen loss in speed, connecitivty, range, dropping of connection all aroudn the house and have decided to change to newer model What I'd like to ask if is anyone in community who is Virgin Media customer can recoommend what to upgrage to in Orbi range OR whether anyone can recommend to replace the Virgin suplied Modem/Route Hub 3.0 to a Netgear ORbi Cabel Modem/Route combo with extenders - I'm thinking TriBand have looked at AX4200 but not sure if this is available in UK. Welcome any thoughts, am quite confused.

Might ask the ISP what is and is not supported on there network first and see what is available. Recommended would be a modem ONLY unit and keep the RBR50 and any satellites running as that system is working well for you. Then at some point, you could get into Orbi AX system if you have a desire too. I'ts recommended to use modems and routers separately for ease of maintenance and troubleshooting.
