Orbi RBR50 - hardwire satellites issues
I have the rbr50 and 2 satellites. Did have full coverage for all area's. I can hardwire the satellites to the router, but only have a single cat V cable at each location but all terminate together in basement. was going to get another satellite but stand alone they are very expensive and older technology.
can I simply plug all 3 orbi's into a unmanaged gig switch and will be the same as if daisy-chained?
the 3 orbi's were all connected via wireless previously.
2ndly, i have a temp mesh network using tp link thru the same unmanaged switch with the switch connected to the back of my xfinity router.
If i plug the orbi in t6he switch (instead of the router where it was originally connected, will it connect and the 2 sat's without needing to be reset to new and reinstalled?
thx

Yes.

Make sure the RBS are wirelessly connected and synced to the RBR first, then ethernet connect them to a non managed switch that is connected behind the RBR.
NG GS-105/108v4 and GS308v3, D-Link DGS-105/108 and HP ProCurve 1400/1800 series switches work for Orbi systems.
