ORBI RBR50 and Optimum Altice Box

Hello all,

Yesterday, Optimum gave us and installed a new box called the Altice Modem(?). It provides TV and Internet in one box. I then connected our Orbi RBR50 and two satellites (RBS50) to our network. However, there were a couple of issues after connecting to the Orbi Wifi, like unable to access http sites without providing the username and password to the Orbi account, and the BRS wan conflict error. So after a bunch of googling, I determined that the optimum-altice modem had to be set in "bridge" mode in order for our Orbi to work properly. So I called Optimum, and they were able to set the box to bridge mode.

Do we have to reconfigure our Orbi router and satellites to reflect the bridge mode change? Are there any steps to follow after our modem is set to bridge mode? I came across this FAQ:
https://kb.netgear.com/000028987/When-to-put-modem-into-bridge-mode

I went to check my IP on the router, and it was still set to 10.0.x.x. Should this still be the case? or should it be a different IP?

I called Optimum again this morning to make sure the modem was set to "bridge" mode...

I guess my question is, are there any additional configurations that need to be done to my Orbi RBR50 after my ISP modem is set to bridge mode?

Thank you.

Thank you for your quick reply!

I see. I have my Orbi rbr50 on "router" mode.

How do I check the IP address on the WAN side of the Orbi? Or is it already automatically configured to be a "public" IP?

Sorry, I am a newbie at this.

The Orbi web interface (http://orbilogin.net) shows this information on the "Internet" menu.  The second panel displays the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway IP address.  It is also on the Advanced Tab Home screen (right panel).
