Orbi RBR50 Connection Issue (DHCP??)
On FW 2.7.4.24
Hi all
I have an Orbi system (1 router and 2 satellites - which are CAT7 wired). The main Orbi router is wired to my ISP router.
No problems with it for the last 3 years at all (Orbi set up in Router Mode, also).
I've wanted to add CCTV cameras, but the recording device only sees the main ISP router IP address, and wants all Wifi Cameras to be assigned to that IP... this is where my problems start.
I've only managed to access the router via 192.168.1.1 earlier today, to add a guest network to see if that work (as the original advice from CCTV people was to turn on /off AP Isolation)...
Now the advice is to turn off DHCP. .. So i did that. And now I cannot access either Orbi networks, the router via 192 etc... NOTHING
Please help! (at the very least to get DHCP turned back on) . Our phones and devices do not recognise the IP addresses of the 2 Orbi networks. The Orbi app is rubbish.. . router not connecting to satellites either
Thank you

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended. If your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
Try option #2 first...Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. https://kb.netgear.com/22697/How-do-I-install-my-NETGEAR-router-using-the-router-web-interface
Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.

I would power OFF the ISP modem for 1 minute. Factory reset the Orbi router and power it off. Power ON the ISP modem and let it sync. Then power ON the Orbi router and walk thru the setup wizard again using a wired PC and a web browser.
Press the back reset button for 15 seconds then release.

Hello MattDJUK ,
Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!
It is best to use your Orbi router in access point mode because it enables your entire network to use one network address. Using your Orbi router in router mode separates your Orbi network from your ISP network.
Please do the following to fix this issue:
Factory reset your Orbi router.
Switch the mode from router mode to access point mode.
Then add your CCTV devices to your network.
