Orbi RBR50 Slow Connection

Hello,

I'm currently subscribed to Xfinity (not by choice) with 150mbps internet speed. When I first installed my Netgear modem + Orbi Router, I was getting top notch speed and everything was awesome. I've been kicked down to 30mpbs download and 12mpbs upload speeds. I've kicked all of the devices off and tested on a hardwired computer and I'm still getting slow speeds.

Firmware is up to date and everything on Comcast's end is looking good as I spent 2 hours on the phone with them last night. Any help would be useful because right now, this setup isn't worth the hundreds of dollars that I paid for it.

Yeah, I’ve been experiencing issues for the past couple of weeks. I’m going to do a factory reboot this weekend as I’ve read that’s a temporary fix for some but not looking forward to reconnecting the Roku sticks and other devices. This is my last hope.

What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?

Let us know how the factory reset and setup from scratch goes. Do not enable the QOS/Speedtest, traffic meter or access controls before speed testing with a wired PC connected to the RBR. Use Ooklas stand along speedtest app for speed testing.

Furry, i'm not using an ISP modem, I used to rent Xfinity's access gateway but upgraded to the CM1000 modem and my Orbi router is plugged straight into that.

Comcast said everything on their end looks great but since it's not their hardware, they can't help troubleshoot the system other than removing devices.

I tried to remove all but 2 devices (phone and hardwired iMac) and then I rebooted the router and I still was getting the same download and upload speeds. I'll do a factory reset this weekend when I have more time to reconnect my devices to the router. I'll keep this thread updated if I find any improvements.

I did turn off my guest wifi and will only turn it on when we have guests over. I've seen this has helped a few people but didn't do much for my performance. Maybe it will take some time to show?

"ISP modem" is in reference to any modem used by the user. Weather ISP or user owned. It's all inclusive.

Try a factory reset and set up from scratch using the suggestions. Wired PC and stand alone speed test app.
