Orbi RBS50 wired backhaul but keeps using wireless

Hello,

I have read a lot on this issue on this forum. But nothing found for my issue yet.

I have connected the satellite with a ethernet cable through a router, but the backhaul between the Orbi's is wireless instead of wired.

My setup:

  • TP-Link Archer C1200 as router connected to the inernet, WiFi switched off.
  • Netgear Orbi RBR50 in AP mode connected to the TP-Link
  • Netgear Orbi RBS50 connected to the TP-Link

The satellite (RBS50) is connected to the RBR50, but its backhaul is wireless (5G).

As suggested on this forum:

  1. I disabled IGMP in the TP-Link router, but that has no success.
  2. I switched off Daisy Chain Topology, but no success.

What else can I do to get the wired backhaul up and running?

  • Ok, I managed it this way:

    Internet
    |
    TP-Link ———RBS50
    | |
    | |
    RBR50

Now the RBS50 uses the wired backhaul!
    Tnx!

    currently you're going

    tplink----->RBR50

         |

         |

    RBS50

    Try it going:

    tplink----Rbr50-----RBS50

The satellite should connect to the orbi router prior to connecting to the tplink
