Orbi Router(RBR50) satellite dropping internet connection

Question

I'm afraid I dont have a degree in networking but I can tell you that my Orbi Router(RBR50) continues to lose internet connection from one of the satellites.

Drops for 10-15 seconds multiple times a day knocking me off video calls. Always returns after this short period of time. The connection is visable still but showing no internet.

Has been an issue with multiple laptops over the last few years, initial advice to update firmware has had no effect. It is updated to the latest version.

Any help much appreciated.

Its only when connected to one of the satellites?&nbsp;
Have you tried swapping satellites (power off the other one) to see if you can narrow it to being a specific satellite?&nbsp;

Hi PleemansThanks so much for coming back to me on this..I swaped the satellites and although still connected the speed was very slow and caused certain services to fail in the browser.I have switched off the problematic satellite so will monitor. On that if you can recommend a good monitoring tool usable in W10 that would be very helpful.Thans,Paul

HiSo the laptop connected fine using downstairs satelite - I switched the problematic one off.I'll try reset..I believe that the firmware is up to date:Thanks again.Paul

Again, maybe the firmware is corrupt on it. Try manually reinstalling the satellites firmware and then do a factory reset/reinstall of the satellite.&nbsp;

My wife uses satellite downstairs for work and has no issues, I should change over to also test but don't want to risk inflicting issues I have on her!!
