Orbi Satellite Connection Type - Performance Issue
I'm having performance issues with devices connected to my Orbi satellite. I have devices connected to the satellite via wifi as well as wired. I'm only getting about 10Mbps download. It used to be much higher than that (100+). When I look at the connection status, it says the connection type for the satellite is 2.4G. I thought this should be 5G? And I think it used to say that. I just upgraded the firmware for the satellite, and after the update, it showed 5G, but then refreshed and now shows 2.4. Should it show 5G? Picture is attached.

What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-routerWhat channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.

I'm not using an ISP modem. I'm using the Netgear CBR40 Cable Modem Router. Firmware for the modem is V2.3.5.12. Firmware for the satellilte is V2.3.5.30. Should the connection type in the screenshot that I provided show 5G for the satellite? I'll try some of the options you listed.
