Orbi Satellite Options for RBR50

I have Orbi RBR50 and satellite included in my whole-home WiFi solution. Speeds are generally good, but I am looking to add another satellite to improve speed to another part of my home.

How should I decide between RBS20, RBS50 and RBW30? I like the wall-plug (RBW30) because it is unobtrusive, but they are not in stock, and I don't want to wait if one of the add-on units is significantly better. Is the RBS50 significantly better than the RBS20 to justify the $70 higher price? I do not need LAN ports and cannot currently get internet download speeds beyond 600-700 mbps, so I do not think any of these models will slow me down. I'd appreciate any advise.

If you have the 50 series system, it would be better to keep with the same series RBS. You can connect the other RBS models. Just know that the wireless back haul speed is 866Mbps and not 1733Mbps as with the 50 series system.

The 5Ghz front haul is the same for all models, 866Mbps.

The 2.4Ghz front haul is 400Mbps I believe on the 20/30 series.

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router

Thank you for the quick response.

I have Netgear Nighthawk CM1150V modem, which I purchased to avoid renting from the cable provider. My home is 2,500 sq.ft., but spread over 4 floors. The current satellite is 2 floors above the router, probably 20-30 feet away, and it works pretty well, but I am looking to extend the service with a satellite to the floor below the router.

Kind of up to you. You might try a 20 series RBS out and see how it works for you. Or go with the 50 series RBS. Something to test out and see.
