Orbi Satellite RBS50 Pulsing White

My RBS50 started loosing WiFi connection recently, I power cycled it, after power cycle, RBS50 white light started flashing-days.

I have facotry reset whole system, router RBR50 has come back online with second satelite, problem sattelite still not connecting, after facoty reset, I am also unable to connect to router from my PC, Orbi app does allow connection from remote access but not local connection, router firmware is uptodate,

I suspect problem started after I update the firmware some time ago.

  • Try this:

What you need to do is factory reset the RBS. Wire connect a PC to the 1st satellite📡. Already have the most current or same FW version as whats loaded on the RBR,  files downloaded on to this PC.

Wire connect 1 PC to the back of the RBS. Factory reset the RBS, wait about 5 minutes. The PC will get a IP address from the satellite📡. The RBS will be 192.168.1.250. Use this IP address in a web browser to log in to the satellites web page. Log in as admin and password. Use the satellites 📡 web page FW update feature to select the FW update file that was unpacked from the .zip file. Then factory reset and then re-sync the satellites 📡 to the RBR.

Let us know if this works...

      Hi,

Thanks for responding, I tried all that but unable to connect to RBS50, Ipconfig shows ip address to be 192.168.1.4, no luck with that either, you have any other ideas?
I tried reset by pressing reset button, waited for over 30 seconds, power led was blinking red, after about 60 sec, i disconnected power from RBS while still pressing reset button, reconnected power, after few seconds led turned different color, red to magenta blinking, thank solid green, removed reset pin, waited over 5 mins, connected RBS with ethernet cable to my Win10 PC, got no response to 192.168.1.250 or other ip address, admin and password as suggested was used

I observed i had internet connection though, not sure if RBS has synced to RBR, no way to check because still having problems with connecting to router with app or desktop
