Orbi satellites
Why does orbi only support 3 satellites?

Probably because it's intended to be for home/residential use, and the vast majority of people can be sufficiently served by a router and three satellites. For use cases larger than that, particularly businesses cases, users might be better served with commercial-grade hardware.
It's also possible they wanted to limit the number of satellites it can support to prevent users, particularly ones in apartments, from all sharing one connection, rather than each subscribing to their own service.
Just a couple guesses.

Been users posting that they've added up to 6 satellites. I presume this is for a extra large size home configuration.
- nlehrerAspirantActually, to use in public areas of a condo association.

Orbi wasn't really meant for large condo or appartment building coverage configurations like that. Possible that maybe out door Satellites however thats mainly for 1 or 2 to help cover large size home property.
You may want to go with something more business class that support out door environments...
