Orbi System causing issue with EPSN app
Hello, I have an RBR50 with multiple satellites that has worked flawlessly for years. However, now with the latest crack downs on VPN's etc. I am having issues with certain apps, specifically r...

On the RBRs web page under Advanced Tab/Setup/Internet Setup, down this page there is a DNS section, will be set to auto, can set to manual and then you can input different DNS, Try 9.9.9.9 and 149.112.112.112.
Also if these are the only apps having issues and others do not, you should contact the mfr of these apps as well. Possible changing in there operation at the Mfr level maybe involved as well.
May need to factory reset the system then setup from scratch as another troubleshooting step.

Orbi would not be causing this. If the system had been working up until recently with your apps and devices, would be something in the Apps or your ISP has changed something possibly.
Try using different DNS services, i.e. cloudfare or quad9.
What brand and model# is the ISP modem or ONT the RBR is connected too?

So again, if i bypass the orbi, and go straight to cellular data, or to my fiber connection, they work. It is only not working when connected to the Orbi System via wifi or hard wire to the RBR50. I am self admittedly not and IT guru, but logic dictates there is a setting somewhere that is messing this up.
The ONT in a Alcatel-Lucent O-221H-P, I would not know how to try a different DNS service.

Using different DNS resolved it. Would be a ISP DNS issue and something the ISP changed for there DNS.
Glad the change in DNS worked. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
