Orbi WiFi Extender RBS50Y
I am considering purchasing the orbi WiFi Range Extender RBS50Y and wanted to know if this is compatible with my Verizon Fios router or do I need to purchase an additional Orbi router. Thznks.
The RBSY has two modes, Orbi mode and Extender mode. If you install the extender mode FW, then it would connect to your exisiting wifif router.

Thanks for your response. Just one more question. Is it recommended to extend to my existing router or to purchase another Orbi router. I'm asking because I would like to receive maximum performance. Thanks.
Depends on what you have and what wifi speeds are supported there. Is it as good as Orbi, less or more?
