Orbi Wired and wireless Ethernet connection

Hi all

Befor I buy Orbi system I need to know that I buy the right equipment ,

At my Home ialready have Router, provide from my local ISP, this Router provide DHCP range IP and V-DSL2 connection to ISP

I have Ethernet port in all rooms ( 5 room) in my appartment.

In my vision, the Satellite get the IP from my router ,via Eternet cable, and provide internet access to all my mobile devices, but with one wirless network name with outomatic movement from one Satellite to other satellite when my kids move from one room to other
Is the satellite enough for make one wirless network with all mesh benefit or I need / must the Orbi router?
can I controll (via app) on satellite

  • You need the Orbi Router, it’s the central control unit for the Orbi system, but you can set it to AP mode if you don’t want it to act as a Router and provide router functionality.
If only one AP is enough for you the Orbi Router is sll what you need. If you need more APs then you can add additional Satellites.
