Orbi with ISP gateway

I've looked up other thread on using Orbi with ISP gateway as AP modem.

My question is, if I set the Orbi router in AP mode (assuming LAN to LAN connection to gatway with router function), will the seamless roaming still work between Orbi router (now AP) and its satellite?

Or I have to disable router function on my gateway and use Orbi as the main router?

    Yes. The seamless roaming will still work with the Orbi router in AP mode.

     

    We'd suggest disabling Wi-Fi on the modem/gateway, and using the Orbi router and Satellite to provide all the Wi-Fi for your home.
