Orbi

Is the Orbi trio band compatible with a Motorola Arris Surfboard sb6141?

The sb6141 is a modem only device. Orbi should work fine with it.

I've used it with an arris sb8200 without issues.

The reason I asked is that the arris surfboard we have is 7 years old. Not the same as the model in your response. So, does the Arris sb6141 still work with Orbi? We have issues with getting kicked off our wifi regularly. Thanks,

The SB6141 is plenty capable and compatible.

So the issues down to is it the line coming in, the modem, or the router. Time to troubleshoot.

        1. please post a screen snip of your modems connections page. It shows signal strength.

        2. What speeds do you pay for? What speeds do you get directly hardwired to the modem?

        3. If you hardwire into the modem and run it for a bit, does the internet cut out as frequently or at all?

        4. What firmware is on your router?

        5. How frequently are the drops happening?

        6. is it actually dropping or do you get "no internet available" notice?

        7. is it only wireless devices or do wired drop as well?

8 Are both the router and the satellite dropping or is it just the devices connected to the satellite dropping?

        9. Is it happening to specific devices or are they all dropping?

  • Yes, I have the Motorola SB6141 myself. It is a cable modem, not a router, so an Orbi would replace your existing router,
