I want to exten my orbi to a guest house approx 100 ft from main house that has week reception of the house orbi network. I have an Ethernet cable that runs from house to the guest house. If the orbi in the guest house is unable to connect wirelessly, can I still connect it via the Ethernet cable to the router in the house?

Yes, use the wired backhaul to the satellite in your guest house. If possible, do not run the cable through a switch between the router and satellite. If you do have to use a switch, you need one that does not have green power-saving features (802.3az spec),

If you can't run a wired to the guest house, I would review this as a alternative option:
