ORBI46, ORBI100 problems with Ethernet connecting
Okay, I gave up on the ORBI46 and returned it. Got tired of trying to make it work...
Now, I have a ORBi100 which is what is on the bottom of the router.
It still has RBR750 on the bottom. Is there a difference between the two routers?
I also had a problem when I first installed the new router.
1. Turned on the computer
2. Signed in to computer.
3. Rebooted modem, just to be sure.
Now I'm following the instructions by Netgear.
4. Connected the router
5. Connected the satellites
6. Rebooted the modem and I waited and waited... No internet!
It says Ethernet not connected
7. Rebooted modem again... Still no internet!
8. Looked up the Windows Network Diagnostics
9. Ran a test.
10. Issues found: Check the connection (I did all of this) between your access point, router or cable modem and the internet is broken.
Your broadband modem is experiencing connectivity issues
11. Restarted modem for the 3rd time! This is a new updated modem that we received from WAVE Broadband July 2020.
(Any suggestions for a new modem? I'm getting tired of paying $16 mo.)
By now, it has been at least 1 hour of messing with this.
Then I'm trying to see where I went wrong, or what I missed.
By this time 15 minutes has gone by since I last rebooted the modem.
I look up, and all of a sudden, I see where I had been looking on the internet for the Router user manual, popped up right in front of me!
How come it takes so long for the internet to say that it is connected?
And this is exacly what happened when I was trying to attach the ORBI46!
Please someone, help me out here. Because for some reason, 6 months from now, I think that I will have to reinstall the router again... Is this a WAVE problem or the network card in the computer? I know I'm looking for a real answer...
Thanks
a couple things.
1. orbi100, orbi46 is the ssid name. Not the model. The RBR750 is the model
2. what modem/gateway are you connecting them to?

Okay,
I actually have a ORBI RBK753S Tri Band Mesh 6, but there is not a selection for Model.
I just reinstalled everythng from factory settings again.
Set up WPA3 on rouater, guest network, renamed the devices that are attached. Router works, satellites work, Ok I'm good to go? Nope!
Thought that everything was okay until I tried to attach my husbands Apple SE mobile phone to the network, and it won't connect! It's an Apple SE, older one from a few years ago.
Then I signon to the PC again and look at the network and there are two ORBI00's. One that is at the top and connected and one that I cannot connect to? What's up with this?
What is going on? This is the second time that I have reinstalled this system!
Please see the PIC that I have attached. I tried to attached 3 pics, but it wouldn't let me.
Thanks

Set up WPA3 on rouater, guest network, renamed the devices that are attached. Router works, satellites work, Ok I'm good to go? Nope!----try disabling WPA3. Its supposed to be backward compatible but some older device still have had issues with it.

What's up with this?----Your "one at the top" is an ethernet connection. it doesn't require a login. The one at the bottom is the wireless. that "X" on it indicates a problem with the connection like maybe your password isn't correct. right click on it and "forget" the network. then reconnect with the proper password for the wireless. Or leave you current device hardwired.

What modem/gateway do you have?
Thanks
