I'm trying to configure Netgear genie app so that I may use some parental controls (i.e. shutting off daughter's wifi at a certain time) and the app is asking for my router admin password, (the username is set to 'admin' and I can't change that) which I think must be the password we've been using to connect to wifi, right? I created a Netgear account, which has a different password, but neither password will work. I don't have the option to reset the password, either. There is no "forgot my password?" link.

The router administration password is not the same as your WiFI password.
The default router administration credentials are username=admin and password=password. If the default doesn't work, then it must have been changed at some point.
