Old thread I know....but same thing happening here. Also have a switch in the middle.
Plug satellite in via ethernet and the router flashes purple, connections go unstable. Internet drops.

What model Orbi system do you have?
What firmware is loaded?
What model and brand switch is in between the RBR and RBS?
Does the RBS do same thing if directly connected to the back of the RBR with out the switch being used?
What CAT# LAN cable is being used? CAT6 UTP is recommended.
