Poor link speed

    I have rbr40 and rbs20w
    The link speed is atrocious.
    I'll get 700mbps right next to the router but in the next room (standard construction UK house ) it drops to 30mbps. This is whilst my virgin router gives me 250mvps in the same place.
    Iv tried lots of settings with no improvement.
    What to do.?

      Are you using these things side by side?

       

      If so, is the Orbi in wireless access point mode?

      What is this device that gives you those speeds? 700Mbps is faster than most wifi clients can deliver.

        Hi.
        Re the 700mbps..I'm talking just about link speed...if the link speed drops to 30 then even with 100pc quality you wont get 200mbps download per the wan connection..I'm aware of that.
        The orbi router is in ap mode.

        This issue is that the devices are connecting at low speed and not high
