Preventing outgoing requests with Orbi RBR50

Model/Firmware: Orbi RBR50, V2.5.1.16 Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone knows how I could prevent outgoing requests on a per-device basis on the RBR50. I've tried blocking via "Access Control", thinking that the devices would still be able to communicate with one another on the local network, but it seems like that setting blocks them entirely. My use case is that I have a few Homekit-enabled devices that require a wifi connection to communicate with a hub, but I don't want them making any requests outside my local network. I need to keep them on the same SSID, so isolating them to a Guest Network is probably out. I figure blocking outgoing requests would take care of it, and if the downside is missing out on automatic firmware updates, that seems like a decent tradeoff to me. Anyone know if this is possible with the current software? Thanks!

You are correct that Access Control is not useful for this purpose.

Have you looked at "Block Services".  Click on the Help "Arrow" at the bottom for an explanation.

Hey thanks, I think this is what I'm after! So if I choose Block Services and set the service type to Any, will that prevent all outgoing requests?

Yes.  I would try that with one device first to "see what happens."  I am never confident that Orbi features actually do what one expects them to do.  For example, I tried blocking my cell phone, and it appears the phone simply switched over to LTE.  I then blocked a laptop and some web browsers said, "no internet" while others took a while, but eventually connected.  I could "ping" 1.1.1.1, which indicates that it "Any" certainly doesn't block everything.
