PS4 connect to Orbi (get IP) but won't connect to Internet

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

- Fiber optic modem

Note: PS4 is 2 feet away from Orbi router, all CAT5

 

If I connect the PS4 directly to the modem it works just fine.

If I use the very same cable and put the Orbi router in the middle, the PS4 gets an IP but won't connect to internet.  All other devices in the house connect to Orbi and internet just fine.

I tried also wi-fi but have the same issues, get an IP as it supposed to but doesn't connect to internet.

IP, subnet, default gw, and DNS all look good.

 

Thoughts?

    Router Firmware Version  V2.3.5.30, That seems to be the latest available.

     

    The good news is I finally figured it out. For whatever reason, the mac of the PS4 was getting blocked from the list of attached Devices.   The browser interface from Basic > Attached Devices was not refreshing nor reflecting the actual status.  It did show all devices as Allowed.

     

    I got an old PS3 that I never connected to this router and wanted to see if there was a weird setting I was missing (on the PS).  When I connected that PS3, at that point I saw a blocked device flashed red at the top of the list but the label showed as an iPad.  When I refreshed the screen I didn't see it anymore (either the device or the blocked status), everything GREEN.

     

    Went to Advanced > Security> Access Control and there I saw the PS4 mac address listed blocked. I selected the device, hit ALLOW and problem solved.  That simple!    ...but, is it really solved?

     

    In the process of doing problem determination, I uninstalled Parental Control and Circle.  I wonder if that might have blocked the device and left it in that state when I uninstalled them.

     

    In any case, the Attached Devices screen never showed me the device as blocked. I would get an IP when I connected the PS4 via wifi and eth so I didn't think the device would be blocked.  I was also trying to troubleshoot from the phone app, the Device Manager there didn't show the PS4 blocked.    It was by chance, connecting a new device that refreshed for a moment the Attached Devices screen and pointed me to the issue.

     

    Last bit of info that still confuses me.  I would have 2 mac addresses for the PS4, one eth and one wifi.   When I went into Advanced > Security> Access Control, I only allowed the wifi mac address but after that, the eth started to work as well.   Shouldn't the eth still be blocked?
