RBR20 started having issues

My RBR20 was working fine and just all of a sudden it dropped off the network and would flash white.   Config was one satellite, and the RBR20 was providing wifi access and one cable to a Docking station which served any one 3 machines.

It is about 5 years old.   I just couldnt get it working and had to do a reset.  Then it worked but failed again.   Then I got it working without the cable to the Docking station.

No errors in logs.  Is there any way I can investigate what is going on?  Hate to buy a new setup these things are so expensive.

    Usual boilerplate questions.

What firmware version do you have on the device?

A number is more useful than "the latest". There may be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.

If there is one it might also help if you told people the make and model number of the modem/gateway/ONT that sits between this router and the Internet. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?

I ask because a lot of people turn up here trying to put a router behind a modem that is also a router. That can complicate troubleshooting.

Did you reboot the network as recommended?

Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:

    • Turn off and unplug modem.
    • Turn off router and computers.
    • Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
    • Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
    • Turn on computers and rest of network.

      Please find all answers below.

      > What firmware version do you have on the device?
2.7.4.24.  App or web Gui have not pulled anything down in 3 years.

It is the modem given to me by Spectrum.   It has 2 Voice ports at the back, a Cable port and one ethernet port.  It is TCH P/N: CVA4001CHR-R.

Yes, this has been done.  I am currently stable for about 1 day but my RBR20 is not physically cabled to my docking station and I am using only wifi.

      No messages in log.

      Many thanks in advance.
