  • Turn OFF the other cameras and see if you can get this 3rd one to connect.

Something to contact the Mfr about for additional help and information regarding there product.

Could you please provide the brand and model of camera.  I have connected at least a half-dozen 2.4G cameras to Orbi WiFi and every one of them created a QR code in the app.  I pointed the camera at the screen and the camera connected automatically.

There is a long history of "issues" when the smartphone app for an Internet of Things (IoT) gizmo was poorly written and complains about how the smartphone is connected. Some engineer thought he was being helpful and instead created a nightmare for no valid reason.  It is true that 5-6 years ago, it was very common for consumer routers to have different WiFi names (SSIDs) for their 2.4G and 5G WiFi channels  and one might think, "Oh, poor dear.  This dummy thinks his phone is connected to the 2.4G channel but as a smart engineer I can see that he is really connected to a 5G channel, so I'll tell him and he can correct this."  When, in reality, all the gizmo needs is to know the SSID and password of the WiFi system and since it cannot detect the 5G channel at all, it will connect to the only signal it can see.

    (Sorry for the rant.)

That's exactly where the camera is stuck, it asks for the wifi info and won't show me the QR code without connecting to the 2.4 so it's giving me the error message and blocking me from moving forward. I know this is common with security cameras as we have many but I was impressed with how easy I connected the first 2 so I thought I was good with these and bought me then camera#3 here we go with same old issue. I know there's a few different ways around but it's such an easy thing I figured there's got to be an easy way I'm not aware of to assign the 2.4 to a particular device. These are by LaView.

LaView seems to sell many different cameras.  I would like to look at the User Manual for the specific camera that is causing the problem.

Is it identical to previous cameras that connected with no problem?
