rbr40 orbi does not let me stream some apps like sirius xm and videos.

Question

installed months ago but had turned off due to tvs phones ecct not able to stream music or videos.. along with attempting to pay bills would not let me on sites.. message stted off line or not secure.. any ideas on where i could start?

So your options.1. have your isp upgrade/change your ONT to an ethernet setup so it can go directly from ONT to router2. Place the orbi in AP mode so its not routing. This leaves the actiontec controlling the routing function.&nbsp;what I'd do? If it doesn't cost anything, have the ISP change the ont setup. The actiontec is pretty old technology and only 10/100mbps setup. the orbi is much more capable than that. And fiber is more capable than that.&nbsp;

frontier fiber optic wirless router..( i had the wifi disabled prior to having these issues).&nbsp;v2.3.5.30 is the current firmware

Disabling wifi doesn't disable its router function.

do you have an ethernet cable from outside ran to the actiontec or a coax cable?

Simplest route: place the orbi in AP mode.

More complext: contact the ISP and have your ONT setup changed so it can directly connect to the orbi
