Appreciate the response. I just bit the bullet and upgraded to the 870 and my issues have been resolved it seems.

A sketchy satellite can make for a sketchy system. If you've had this more than 5 years, might be time to do a little testing. You could try turning off a satellite each day to see if the system stays stable and if it works better/worse (other than slightly less coverage with missing one).
You could also test each satellite with a hardwired device to the satellite to see if its still performing to spec with the backhaul. If one of them is having backhaul issues, it could cause issues for the device connected to it
