Rbr50 and rbs50

I’m new to installing routers and using there satellites. We have in our house is a orbi rbr50 in our office and we have a black taller thinner I’m guessing it’s like the orbi satellite. We get very week WiFi in our room from the rbs50. My brother has the rbs50 in his room. I think he is getting strong WiFi in his room from his rbs50. My question is do I need to get gist the rbs50 and put it in my room or do I need another rbr50 and rbs50? Thanks for your input. Sorry it’s so long winded.

You can only have 1 RBR50 or any Orbi router. Then you add satellites. The black taller thinner device may be your internet router, if your Orbi RBR50 is connected to it. With that said, if you want to increase coverage you can get another satellite and add it to your Orbi system.

My mom got us another rbr50 and rbs50 set. Can I just use the satellite from that set or do you recommend me getting a solo satellite?

Yes, use the RBS50 and save the RBR50 as a backup or sell it.
