my isp router is in bridge mode, my orbi is in normal router mode.
before this setup i tried with the isp router normally, and the orbi in both router mode and ap mode, both gave the same frequent disconnects

you may want to start over. there are know issues with the .18 fw version.
does the compal cv8560E have wifi built in? if it does, and you need to use it, then either the orbi or the compal cv8560E will need to be in the AP mode. Not both.

I actually have started over, I downgraded to v30 firmware, had same problems, re-upgraded to the .18 fw and still having same issues.
the compal is bridged, the orbi is in router mode

if you don't need the compal, try setup without it, placing the Orbi in router mode.
otherwise try this:

Since your modem is in bridge mode already, then Router mode is needed on the RBR. There is not double NAT in this condition. This would not be a cause of your wireless problems.
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-routerWhat channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).Above suggestions working:

having 2 routers is a double nat condition without proper config

the isp router is bridged to the mac adress of the orbi

thx for the suggestion, although my setup is already as described.
after each major change (including fw down-or upgrades), i always do a complete factory reset.
i also tried wired backhaul this weekend, but again: after about 24h disconnects start happening more and more often.

Is the RBS directly wired to the back of the RBR or is there LAN switch in between? If so, What is the Mfr and model# of the ethernet switch in the configuration?
Any other wifi devices that you have that are broadcasting a signal?
Try some of the suggestions please.
